About Me

Overview

I am a graduate of Penn State Behrend wherein I majored in Marketing, minored in Psychological Science, and received a certificate in Consumer Psychology. It is this combination of both business and personal perspectives that I believe provides me with a unique analysis of marketing as a practice. I am a highly-motivated, organized person with a desire to learn and grow. I believe that my numerous classes and job experiences have prepared me with effective written communication abilities. Additionally, through those experiences, I have also acquired skills that I believe could contribute creative ideas to any organization for both individual and group projects if given the opportunity. Furthermore, I have developed leadership skills through my memberships in the Penn State Behrend National Honor Societies Lambda Sigma Alpha Eta, Omicron Delta Kappa, and Beta Gamma Sigma, as well as, experience in the professional workplace.

Areas of Expertise & Featured Skills

Marketing, written communication, leadership, creativity, research, organization, Psychology.

I am a natural leader and am not afraid to ask questions, especially if the answer helps me learn something. I may come off as shy at first, but that’s just because I prefer to observe and reflect before taking action. Writing is a favorite craft of mine and one I’ve been perfecting for many years. It is a magnificent insight into a person and a way for others to understand what that person is thinking without even meeting or knowing them. Above everything else, I am a creative person who can think outside the box if need be. In fact, why even consider the box at all? Spheres are a much more appealing shape. Some of my hobbies include writing, researching random topics, playing with my cat Oreo, and binging several shows and books at once.

Professional Interests

I am interested in several aspects of marketing. I like advertising as it can make an impact on society. My favorite ad of all time is the Always “Like a Girl” campaign. When I first saw this video (I’ve linked it below as I believe everyone needs to view it, it’s that good), I was stunned. This company wasn’t just trying to sell a product, they were trying to sell the truth to a society that may not want to hear it. But they didn’t care what society thought, the marketers saw a problem and created a campaign to attempt to raise awareness anyway. Innovation is interesting because it involves creating a new product or service that can basically disrupt the way something is already done. But I have to say that my favorite aspect of marketing is research. I have always been interested in learning new things and marketing research allows me to attempt to understand why people do what they do. This side of marketing also allows me to put my Psychology minor to good use. I hope to one day be able to help a company reach out to consumers and help them with the knowledge I have gained through marketing research.

Career Goals

My ultimate career goal is to find a great marketing job that will allow me to positively impact society. I want my work to be able to reach out to someone and help them through their life, as many marketing campaigns have done for me.
